CLEVELAND, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- US toy and game shipments are forecast to fall to $1.1 billion in 2021, according to Toys & Games: United States, a report recently released by Freedonia Focus Reports. Competition from imports, which already meet the vast majority of US demand, will drive shipments to retreat.

More information about the report is available at https://www.freedoniafocusreports.com/Toys-Games-United-States-FF90021/ https://www.freedoniafocusreports.com/Power-Transmission-Components-United-States-FF70010/

US demand for toys and games is forecast to expand 2.3% annually through 2021. Expansion of the population aged 35-44, which contains those most likely to have – and buy toys for – children, will drive gains.

These and other key insights are featured in Toys & Games: United States. This report forecasts US toy and game shipments and demand in US dollars at the manufacturers' level to 2021. Total shipments are segmented by product in terms of:

  • electronic
  • board games and puzzles
  • models and kits
  • children's vehicles and doll carriages
  • dolls and stuffed toys
  • other products such as balls, dart games, and toy furniture

To illustrate historical trends, total demand, total shipments, the various segments, and trade are provided in annual series from 2006 to 2016.
